I'd forgotten how much there is to do before going travelling. I knew I needed to book flights, work out what to pack and get some vaccinations, but had forgotten about the little things... like working out which bank account will charge me least to withdraw money while I'm away, learning the language and buying up most of the contents of Boots (other chemists are available).
I've obviously decided that setting up my blog is far more important than any of the above, so at least if I find myself stranded in South America with a backpack full of the wrong things, unable to communicate with the locals and have run out of money due to exorbitant bank charges, I can let everyone know about it!
